Anonymous asked: Are your children all good swimmers? Did they take lessons?

No and no. Ananda and Aaron are really good swimmers, now and for the last few years. Isaac, Jake and Elise can go around freely with a noodle or kickboard or something but not without. I would get them lessons immediately if we or someone we knew had a pool they’d be around regularly, but as it is we only go to public pools and beaches with them, all of which have lifeguards. 

It’s nuts to me to think that, growing up, EVERY. ONE. had a pool and I was “swimming” ALL THE TIME…but I didn’t actually know how to swim til I was 10. Or ride a bike. I still can’t whistle! :p
