“All of New York City now in darkness except the Empire State Building,” says the National Hurricane Updates facebook page. This shit is making me tear up and giving me goosebumps. They have five dead and a 13 foot storm surge on record so far.

Just being in the dark there, with the subways down and the tunnels closed, sounds terrifying to me. This is like some kind of apocalyptic movie :/
