Okay…so this is actually terrifying.
Parts of Manhattan are completely flooded and blacked out.
Some of my friends’ buildings are surrounded by water.
There are electrical fires/explosions happening left and right.
Two electrical box things near my apartment both just exploded and sounded/looked like fire crackers.
We still have power and we’re praying it sticks around…and that our windows don’t blow in.
The worst of the storm isn’t even here yet.
We can’t go anywhere….there is zero form of transportation available so if we do have to evacuate, we have no idea what the fuck we’re going to do.
This is so scary. I’ve lived without power for days and days in Maine because of snow storms/blizzards…but this is so different because it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen.
Guys….this is so so scary.

I have to just find a way to take a deep breath, say a prayer and go to bed. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been to New York or because I’ve been in a seriously major hurricane where I feared for my life, or…what…just, fuck.
